We also recommend that you familiarize yourself with a few other fundamental aspects of syncing with cloud services to optimize performance and usability.
Workplace is easy to install and use, but to get the most out of the service, we recommend that you spend some time planning before you implement Workplace. This is the perfect opportunity to review your current folder structure to make sure it supports efficient workflows.
The Workplace Hybrid model allows you make all your files accessible via Workplace and also retain a local, centralized data storage to make the data set available via the local network. The Workplace service keeps all the data on the local storage both accessible internally and in sync with Workplace.
A full migration to Workplace means that the current data set will be synced to the Workplace service and thereafter decommissioned, leaving Workplace as the sole data storage location.
This guide should be followed if the current data set is scattered across multiple users’ local storage devices and all this data is to be moved to the Workplace service.
