Getting started: Projects

In order to ensure that your data is secure and accessible only to the users on your team that should have access, all users that create projects should be aware of a few fundamental properties of Workplace projects. We also recommend that you familiarize yourself with a few other fundamental aspects of syncing with cloud services to optimize performance and usability.

Getting started: Implementation

Workplace is easy to install and use, but to get the most out of the service, we recommend that you spend some time planning before you implement Workplace. This is an ideal opportunity to review your current folder structure to make sure it supports efficient workflows.

Deploying Workplace: Hybrid model

The Workplace Hybrid model allows you make all your files accessible via Workplace and also retain local, centralized data storage to make the data set available throuh your local network. The Workplace service keeps all the data that is stored locally accessible internally and in sync with Workplace.

Deploying Workplace: Full migration model

A full migration to Workplace means that the local data set will be synced to the Workplace service and decommissioned thereafter, leaving Workplace as the sole data storage location.

Deploying Workplace: Dispersed migration model

This guide should be followed if the current data set is scattered across multiple users’ local devices and you intend for all of this data to be moved to the Workplace service.
